Sucking Up, or Diverting Attention?

[Adrienne]

Adrienne was waiting in the halls, looking around casually. She was looking at a map she had found in an office she had been in. She saw Josh on the map, and decided she would scare him. As he went towards the corner she was standing near, she popped out at him and said, holding her hands out to scare him, "Booooo"

[Josh]

"Haha, very funny," said a startled Josh. "You just wait unitil it's my turn to use that map. I'd say we pulled that little heist off pretty well, don't you think? I'm feeling a little guilty about it all but I don't think she'll mind too much, do you?"

[Adrienne]

Adrienne laughed, he had jumped a mile. "I don't think she'll mind... I hope not, though, she has a really bad temper..." Adrienne said, thinking of all the rumors she had heard.

[Josh]

Josh was looking a little worried now. "I don't want to make her angry at us. You think we should try and give it back? Maybe she doesn't know what it does though. If you get me into trouble..."

[Adrienne]

"Shhhhhh, someone's coming!" Adrienne said. She watched as Josh ducked, laughing. At his inquiring look, she grinned and said, "Sorry, I couldn't resist! Anyways, don't worry about her, she's nice when she's not angry and I don't think she'll be angry about this."

[Josh]

"Yeah you're probably right," said Josh looking annoyed but relieved that no one was there. "I doubt she knows what it does anyway or else she would have put it up. Unless she was using it of course. Either way we could just say we thought it was parchment and we wanted to write something down on it and didn't think she would mind. Anyway, want to have some fun with this," asked Josh, a grin now spreading across his face.

[Adrienne]

Adrienne grinned, "She probably would have had an invisible charm, or something on it... greeeaat excuse, by the way, I'm sooo sure she'll believe it... but, it'ss the only one we have... anyway, I don't think she'll find out."

[Josh]

"Well, how would she know that we knew what it was," asked Josh starting to get angry. "I'm sure she wouldn't expect us to know the maker personally or did you forget that little detail," asked Josh, "And of course she'll find out it's missing. She probably uses it all the time," said Josh letting off some steam. He had a long day and, realizing that Adrienne had tears in her eyes, was taking it out on the wrong person. "Look, sorry for getting irritated. I know you were only joking. I've just had a long day. Anyway, I've sent an owl to my cousin at and he's going to tell me how to make another one so we'll be able to give it back to her soon. I just needed the original to make a copy. If this works she'll never know it was gone...I hope," he said with a fake, hopeless grin forming.

[Adrienne]

Adrienne wiped her tears quickly, she never liked it when Josh got mad. She quickly put a fake grin on her face and said, "She won't find out, we'll return it as soon as possible."

[Josh]

"So, what should we do in the mean time with this new toy? Want to cause some trouble or just learn the secrets of the castle? Either one sounds good to me."

[Adrienne]

"Hmmmmm, since we're causing trouble by taking it..... I think we should cause some more trouble," Adrienne said with a grin, and they made their way to do just that.

[Narcissa Malfoy]

"What exactly are you two up to?" Narcissa asked Josh and Adrienne when she spotted them in the corridor on her way to class.

[Adrienne]

"Nothing...." Adrienne said, then, seeing the expression on her face, "Much....".

[Narcissa Malfoy]

"Ok, but I wouldn't cause too much trouble," Narcissa said, seeing the map in her hand, "You wouldn't want to be the first one to get detention this year."

[Adrienne]

"True... I wouldn't want that.... don't worry, we won't get caught." Adrienne said with a mischievious(sp?) grin.
